I’m a mom to two toddlers, a bonus mom to two teenagers and a dog mom. My husband is an OBGYN, so perinatal health, pregnancy and childbirth are common conversational topics in our household.
As far back as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated with the physiology of pregnancy and birth. My favorite show when I was younger was, A Birth Story on TLC.
Throughout my own pregnancies, I spent a lot of time reading books, listening to. birth podcasts and following IG birth accounts. I realized that navigating pregnancy and childbirth isn’t always straightforward. So, I hired a doula and saw firsthand how integral they are to the birth space. I also hired a birth photographer. Those will forever be my most cherished photos.
After graduating with a bachelor degree in Psychology, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career that helped empower families and remove the negative stigma around birth. I truly believe I have found the perfect career for myself.
I think that a positive birth is more than “healthy mom, healthy baby”. Giving birth is a transformative, vulnerable experience. I want you to be confident in your decisions. I want you to feel supported and safe. I believe the key to this is a strong, trustworthy support team.
